Senior Finance Manager | Magnit

About the Role

This position will be based out of the Netherlands office. As Senior Manager, you will be responsible for assembling and developing the team as well as managing the efficiency of the corporate accounting function to deliver on stakeholder expectations for financial reporting and compliance. You will be engaging with internal and external stakeholders to manage and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. It is essential that the Senior Manager be a collaborative, analytical and tech-forward leader with the experience to identify opportunities for improvement and drive change.

What You Will Do

  • Design processes and workflows to ensure workloads are sustainable and allow time for professional development and cross-training opportunities for team members.
  • Lead team in establishing career goals and paths and a cadence for routine check-ins to discuss progress and provide professional feedback.
  • Design and deliver analytic package for senior management to monitor and track efficiency of the team.
  • Develop necessary accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure effectiveness, timeliness, and fidelity of financial information.
  • Implement industry standard best practices across existing workflows with a focus on optimization and the reduction of manual processes.
  • Draft documentation on technical accounting positions assumed by the company and act as a technical resource to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members by knowledge sharing and demonstrating leadership.

What You Will Need

  • A recognized Accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent)
  • 10+ years of experience in Corporate Accounting and/or Auditing with Big 4 Accounting firm.
  • Affinity for managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Strong written and verbal Dutch and English communication skills.
